Paintings of the South of France

In August the tourist office in Cannes exhibited paintings by Linda Nissen Samuels on the theme of "Views from the No. 8 bus."
This is an open-topped double decker which travels along the Croisette (marine parade) in Cannes.
Linda who specialises in paintings of the South of France, describes the no.8 route as one of the most beautiful bus rides she has been on.
The journey starts at the picturesque old port in Cannes and slowly makes its way past the Palais des Festivals (of film festival fame), by the funfair with its pretty carousel, the Malmaison museum and the Carlton Hotel. Linda has donated one of these paintings as a gift to a French Muscular Dystrophy Charity which is having a gala evening on November the 12th at the Palm Beach Casino, which is at the end of the bus route.
